TRICARE Dental Phone Number: The 2026 Contact Directory for TDP, Active Duty & FEDVIP Retiree Dental

October 11, 2026•14 min read

There is no single TRICARE dental phone number. TRICARE runs three separate dental programs, each with its own administrator, phone lines, website, and login: the TRICARE Dental Program (TDP) for family members and Guard/Reserve, the Active Duty Dental Program (ADDP) for service members, and FEDVIP for retirees. United Concordia administers the first two; BENEFEDS administers FEDVIP enrollment. This directory pulls the verified contact details for all three into one place, organized by program and by department, so a front desk, a billing coordinator, or a beneficiary can find the correct line in seconds. Every number and link below was taken from an official TRICARE, United Concordia, or BENEFEDS source.

Key Takeaways

  • Three programs, three sets of numbers. TDP, ADDP, and FEDVIP are distinct, which is why one "TRICARE dental" number never fits every beneficiary.
  • TRICARE Dental Program (TDP): United Concordia at 844-653-4061 (CONUS), for active duty family members and Guard/Reserve.
  • Active Duty Dental Program (ADDP): United Concordia at 866-984-2337 (CONUS), for service members referred to civilian care.
  • Retirees use FEDVIP, not the old TRICARE Retiree Dental Program (which ended December 31, 2018). Enroll through BENEFEDS at 877-888-3337, then pick a carrier.
  • Dentists use the same United Concordia program line as members for TDP and ADDP, plus the Find a Dentist tools and provider portals.
  • Claims and eligibility route by program. Each program has its own claims address, and all three verify eligibility through DEERS.

What's in This Directory

The Three TRICARE Dental Programs at a Glance

TRICARE dental is not one benefit. It is three programs with three administrators, sorted by who you are: an active duty service member, a family member or Guard/Reserve member, or a retiree. The table below is the fastest way to land on the right phone number and website before you dial.

Which TRICARE Dental Program Is Yours?

The quickest way to reach the right office is to identify your program first, because the administrator and the phone line follow from it. Three questions get you there.

The myth of the "one TRICARE dental number"

Thin pages often publish a single 800 number and call it "the TRICARE dental line." That is misleading. The number that reaches United Concordia for a family member's TDP plan will not pull up an active duty service member's ADDP record, and neither one touches a retiree's FEDVIP coverage, which is not even administered by United Concordia in most cases. Calling the wrong program wastes time on hold and ends in a transfer. Match the program first, every time, and confirm your eligibility in DEERS before a time-sensitive appointment.

TRICARE Dental Program (TDP) Numbers & Logins

The TDP is the voluntary, premium-based plan administered by United Concordia for active duty family members, National Guard and Reserve members and their families, and certain survivors. It offers worldwide portable coverage with CONUS and OCONUS service areas. Members and dentists use the same United Concordia program lines, and the Find a Dentist tool at uccitdp.com locates network dentists.

Active Duty Dental Program (ADDP) Numbers & Logins

The ADDP is a Department of Defense program, also administered by United Concordia, that provides civilian dental care for active duty service members who are referred out or stationed far from a military dental clinic. There are no premiums and no out-of-pocket cost for covered care with the proper authorizations. Service members must get an Appointment Control Number (ACN) before nonemergency care, and in CONUS must use a United Concordia network dentist.

FEDVIP Retiree Dental: BENEFEDS & the Carrier Directory

The TRICARE Retiree Dental Program (TRDP) ended on December 31, 2018. Since then, retired service members, their families, and survivors get dental coverage through the Federal Employees Dental and Vision Insurance Program (FEDVIP), run by the U.S. Office of Personnel Management. You do not call "TRICARE" for retiree dental. You enroll through BENEFEDS, the OPM-authorized enrollment portal, then work directly with the dental carrier you choose for benefits, claims, and provider networks.

BENEFEDS customer service is available Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. ET. Its representatives handle enrollment, but they cannot recommend a plan or discuss benefits, so direct benefit and provider questions to the carrier itself.

FEDVIP dental carriers for 2026

FEDVIP offers eleven dental carriers for 2026 (HealthPartners Dental was dropped, so anyone enrolled in it for 2025 must make a new election). Seven serve nationwide and four are regional. Call the carrier's member line below for benefits, provider networks, and claims, or verify current options at BENEFEDS.gov.

By Department: Enrollment, Claims & Eligibility

Across all three programs, three jobs come up again and again: enrolling or changing coverage, filing a claim, and confirming eligibility in DEERS. The table shows where each one goes. For FEDVIP, claims and enrollment changes after your initial election go to the carrier you picked, not to BENEFEDS.

Where Documentation Fits In

For a sedation or oral surgery practice treating military families, every one of these calls (eligibility, authorizations, claims, appeals) rides on documentation. United Concordia and the FEDVIP carriers deny or claw back payment when records are incomplete, and an ADDP authorization or a TDP claim for a sedation case is only as strong as the chart behind it. That is the gap iSedate's SedationVault was built to close.

SedationVault replaces paper sedation records with real-time oral and IV sedation charting, live vitals streamed from any monitor on the market, digital intake and consent, and one-click, audit-ready PDF reports. When a payer or a board asks for the record, the documentation is complete, time-stamped, and defensible, which protects both reimbursement and the practice itself. Clean charting and clean compliance are what stand between a routine claim and a costly dispute.

The program website is addp-ucci.com. Active duty service members use this line to get an Appointment Control Number and find a network dentist.

Do military retirees still have TRICARE dental coverage?

The TRICARE Retiree Dental Program (TRDP) ended December 31, 2018. Retired service members, their families, and survivors now buy dental coverage through the Federal Employees Dental and Vision Insurance Program (FEDVIP). Enrollment runs through BENEFEDS at BENEFEDS.gov or 877-888-3337 (TTY 877-889-5680).

How do I enroll in FEDVIP dental as a military retiree?

FEDVIP enrollment is handled by BENEFEDS, the OPM-authorized enrollment portal. Enroll at BENEFEDS.gov or call 877-888-3337 (TTY 877-889-5680), Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. ET. From outside the United States, dial your country code and then 571-730-5942. You choose among the FEDVIP dental carriers, then contact that carrier for benefits and claims.

What is the TRICARE dental phone number for dentists?

Dentists use the same United Concordia program line as members, plus the program's provider tools. For TDP, verify eligibility and submit claims through United Concordia at 844-653-4061 and uccitdp.com. For the ADDP, civilian dentists get an Appointment Control Number and handle referrals and authorizations through 866-984-2337 and addp-ucci.com. For a FEDVIP patient, call the number on the carrier's ID card.

Where do TRICARE dental claims get mailed?

How do I log in to my TRICARE Dental Program account?

TRICARE Dental Program members manage coverage, claims, and bills in My Account at uccitdp.com/member/my-account. As of August 2026, myAuth has replaced DS Logon as the digital login for My Account, so use your myAuth credentials. You enroll and change coverage through milConnect at milconnect.dmdc.osd.mil under Manage Health Benefits.

What is the difference between the TDP, the ADDP, and FEDVIP?

The Active Duty Dental Program covers active duty service members who need civilian dental care. The TRICARE Dental Program is a voluntary premium plan for active duty family members, National Guard and Reserve members, and their families. FEDVIP is the dental program for retirees, their families, and survivors, offered through several carriers. United Concordia runs the first two; BENEFEDS administers FEDVIP enrollment.

Which FEDVIP dental carriers can military retirees choose from?

For 2026, FEDVIP offers eleven dental carriers: Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield FEP BlueDental, Delta Dental, GEHA, MetLife, United Concordia, and UnitedHealthcare nationwide, plus Dominion National, EmblemHealth, Humana, and Triple-S Salud regionally. Each has its own member service line, website, and provider network, listed in the FEDVIP table above.

How do active duty service members find a dentist under the ADDP?

In CONUS, you must use a United Concordia network dentist. Get an Appointment Control Number at addp-ucci.com or by calling 866-984-2337, then use the Find a Dentist tool at addp-ucci.com. In OCONUS locations, call 844-653-4058 for a TRICARE OCONUS Preferred Dentist and country-specific access codes.

How do I update my TRICARE eligibility in DEERS?

Dental eligibility for every TRICARE program is verified in DEERS. Update your information at milConnect (milconnect.dmdc.osd.mil), by phone at 800-538-9552 (TDD/TTY 866-363-2883), or at a Uniformed Services ID card office. If your DEERS record is wrong, your dental care can be denied, so confirm it before a time-sensitive appointment.

Still Have Questions?

If your practice runs sedation or anesthesia for military families, the way you document each case drives how smoothly these insurance calls go. See how iSedate's SedationVault turns sedation charting into clean, audit-ready records that protect reimbursement and compliance.
